Idli Salute: A tasty spin to normal idlis. This dish takes simple idli recipe & & potato sandwich dish, giving it a scrumptious & & captivating makeover.
Last number of weeks have been fairly active for me. Admist all the numerous hours, buddies are a reducer. Just recently, we were over at my good friend’s, where we had a small event. It was a night of good laughs, great food as well as a great deal of enjoyable.
My good friend made an impressive dinner for all of us. Sandwiches, fried rice, spinach cheese balls as well as idli salutes. The dinner was a spread. Whatever was delicious. However what captured my palate one of the most were the idli salutes. After that what, it was all about them. How to make, what all it requires, and so on and so on.
The plain thought of these cuties made me make these as quickly as I can. These little idli discs are scrumptious to the core and also has a combination of tastes. Idli toast had 3 layers. The first one being the potato padding, then the bread piece as well as the idli being the last one. Carefully get rid of the toast from the pan and also location it on a recipe. Cut into 4 items. Garnish with some cut coriander leaves and also a little tempering.
Offer warm idli salutes with catsup or green chutney.

- Bread slices as required
- 1/2 cup semolina
- 1/4 mug curd
- Water as needed
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp. cooking soft drink
- 3-4 potatoes, steamed
- 1 eco-friendly chilli, cut carefully
- 1 tsp. red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp. coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp. amchoor
- A little garam masala
- 1 onion, sliced carefully
- 2-3 tsp. oil
- 3-4 curry leaves
- Some cumin seeds
- Chopped coriander leaves
- 3-4 tsp. oil
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
- 6-7 curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp. fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp. sesame seeds
- Chopped green chillies
- In a bowl, mix semolina with curd as well as include enough water to it and also keep apart.
- Mash the boiled potatoes. Add the spices– red chilli powder, turmeric powder, amchoor, salt, coriander powder as well as a little garam masala.
- Heat some oil in a pan. Include cumin seeds, curry fallen leaves and some eco-friendly chillies. Allow it splutter.
- Currently include some cut onions and also allow them cook well.
- When the onions turn clear, add the mashed potatoes and also blend well. Cook for a min or 2. Add sliced coriander leaves and also mix well.
- Include salt as well as cooking soft drink to the idli batter and mix well.
- Eliminate discs from bread pieces using a cutter.
- Apply some potato padding away of the bread as well as toast the opposite of the bread in a shallow frying pan.
- Invert it. Spread some oil.

- Heat some oil in a frying pan. Include cumin seeds, mustard seeds, sesame seeds, fennel seeds, curry leaves and some environment-friendly chillies. Let them splutter and switch off the flame. Don’t let it burn.
- Thoroughly eliminate the toast from the frying pan and also area it on a dish. Cut into 4 items. Garnish with some cut coriander leaves and a little tempering.
- Serve hot idli toasts with ketchup or environment-friendly chutney.
